Monsoon: When Roads Become Rivers
Every year, during the monsoon season, the dusty road is submerged under muddy water. The drainage is clogged, and the road looks like rivers. Riding a bike is even more difficult. The pothole is not visible, and this is the reason why the bike skids if the wrong turn is made.
But we are aware that the parcel has to reach the destination because people are waiting. People are waiting for medicine, waiting for documents, and waiting for their precious gifts from their loved ones. Our rider from Bhaktapur shares a memory of the experience. The rider had to deliver a parcel to an old lady. The road was in a very bad condition, and the bike could not cross it. The rider left the bike and took the parcel bag and walked 1 km and reached the lady’s place. The lady said that it was a very important medicine and that it had to be delivered as soon as possible. The lady thanked him, and the rider forgot all the struggles that he had faced in reaching the place.
The monsoon season is a challenge for our riders, and they face it with patience and responsibility.
Festival Rush: The Season of Endless Deliveries
If fighting with the weather is the essence of the monsoon season, then fighting with time is the essence of the festival season. Dashain and Tihar bring happiness in our lives, but they also bring tons of online orders. Everyone wants their parcel to be delivered before time.
During this season, our riders start working from early in the morning until late at night. Sometimes they have to deliver three times more than the normal number of parcels. They skip their rest and lunch just to focus on one thing: ensuring that the customer receives their parcel on time.
This is what festivals mean to us at NCN. We are not just delivering the parcels; we are also carrying the emotions of our customers. The rider becomes a small part of the happiness of the customer, and this gives our rider enough energy to keep going even in times of heavy workload.
Strikes: When Nepal Comes to a Stop
The days seem like a normal day, the sun is shining, the sky is clear, and everything is perfect, but then a strike is announced. The roads are empty, the majority of the stores are closed. The whole city is like a freeze. But then the customers call us and ask, “Will I receive my parcel today?” The riders are aware of this hard situation, but they are not unmotivated. They are aware that they cannot violate the safety rules and cannot enter the restricted areas. Still, they try their best to deliver the parcel to the customer wherever they can. Sometimes they even had to park their bike and walk to the customer’s house to deliver the parcel. Sometimes they even had to wait for a while for the situation to get better.
A strike does not stop us from being committed, but it makes us more determined.

Behind each helmet and uniform, there is a person. A person who wants a better life for their children. A person who works a part-time job to support their studies. A person who works hard for their family.
